A story about how the legendary Swedish band Gyllene Tider became one of Sweden's biggest pop sensations. Per is the ambitious outsider at school, who discovers friends for life through the power of music as he finds MP, Micke, Anders and Göran. Despite hardships, the band goes on to break through in the early 80s, where their hit songs about life in a small town made them a nationwide sensation.

This film inspired by true events is set in 1997 Romania. At a time when the orphanages were not known to be improving a young woman decided to change an entire system by closing them down. This caused uproar throughout the country. Due to her tenacity and belief in that all children need a home with a loving family she succeeded in taking Romania to court.
